Coleraine 4-3 Larne
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 30th September, 2006
COLERAINE staged an amazing turnaround to come back from a two goal deficit to claim their first Carnegie Premier League points of the season.

After a scoreless first half it took Larne just five minutes after the restart to break the deadlock when Colm Kearney rose to nod home a Julian Ward cross from the right.

And they doubled their advantage just sixty seconds later through Lewis Hamlin who burst through the defence to slot the ball past David O'Hare.

Coleraine pulled one back in the 63rd minute when Darren Boyce beat Chris Keenan with a low shot before drawing level with 19 minutes remaining courtesy of a David Patton header from a Stuart Clanachan cross.

Then, five minutes from time, Patton grabbed his second of the game with another header from another Clanachan cross.

Coleraine were in front for the first time and they extended that lead three minutes later thanks to a Stephen Carson right-foot effort after taking a Patton ball past defender Andrew Cleary.

Larne came back, however, in stoppage time to knock home a third goal of their own through Hamlin but it wasn't enough to stop them leaving the Ballycastle Road venue empty handed.
