Linfield 3-0 Limavady United
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 29th September, 2007
LINFIELD strolled their way to their first win of the new Carnegie Premier League campaign with this untroubled defeat of Limavady United at Windsor Park.

Glenn Ferguson got the ball rolling after just 12 minutes when from a Damian Curran corner he sent a powerful header past Limavady 'keeper Glenn Millar.

And a similar move almost paid dividends on 33 minutes when another Curran inswinger was headed goalwards by Ferguson but this time defender Matthew Crossan was on hand to clear off the line.

Further efforts followed from the Blues but they had to wait until 63 minutes to double their tally when Ferguson again struck with a header, this time from an Aidan O'Kane free-kick into the box.

O'Kane then completed the scoring six minutes later with a volley after Peter Thompson flicked a Jim Ervin cross into his path.
