Institute 2-3 Glenavon
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 27th October, 2007
GLENAVON made it three wins out of three on the road with this defeat of Institute at Drumahoe.

They took the lead after nine minutes when Lewis Hamlin converted from the spot after he had been brought down by 'keeper Alan Ryan.

'Stute might have levelled eight minutes after through Ryan Campbell but his effort came back off the woodwork with Tuda Murphy stranded.

But they did grab the equaliser right on the stroke of half-time when Liam McKenna scrambled the ball home although Glenavon did regain the advantage a minute into the second half following a mistake by Ryan which allowed Colm Kearney to pounce on a loose ball.

And Kearney extended their advantage on the hour when he finished off a move at the back post which began when John Douglas fed Hamlin to deliver the telling ball.

Institute pulled on back on 72 minutes through Mark Scoltock who was on hand to send a powerful header past Murphy from a Ruairi Boyle free-kick, who was later dismissed following a foul on Conor Walsh.
