Dungannon Swifts 4-0 Linfield
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 27th October, 2007
DUNGANNON Swifts recorded their first ever senior victory over Linfield with this stunning 4-0 win at Stangmore Park.

It was Harry Fay's side first win of the campaign after a horrendous start which, in turn, also saw holders Linfield drop to fourth in the table.

Niall McGinn opened the scoring on 26 minutes when he turned home a Rodney McAree cross from the right which wasn't picked up by Winkie Murphy.

It got worse for Murphy on 56 minutes when he turned the ball past Alan Mannus whilst attempting to clear a Shea Campbell ball into the box.

And five minutes later the Swifts extended their advantage after Mannus failed to hold onto a McGinn effort with Campbell on hand to stab the ball over the line.

Then, on 73 minutes, Shane McCabe completed the scoring with a close range finish from a Paul Baron ball.
