Donegal Celtic 3-3 Glentoran
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 27th October, 2007
A DAVID Scullion hat-trick wasn't enough to hand Glentoran a maximum return from this thrilling encounter with Donegal Celtic.

The former Under-21 international struck after 43 seconds when he fired past Celtic 'keeper Declan Brown following a hectic goalmouth scramble.

Celtic levelled after 11 minutes through Paul McDonald with a powerful header after a Ciaran Gargan corner caused Glens 'keeper Michael Dougherty all sorts of problems.

But Scullion responded for the visitors within two minutes with a header from a Jason Hill corner but, amazingly, Celtic equalised again barely a minute later when another Gargan corner flew over Dougherty's head straight into the net.

After that blistering start it was the 41st minute before the next goal arrived with Celtic moving in front for the first time after a Liam Bradley corner was met by a Ciaran Donaghy looping header.

It was a lead they held until the 66th minute when Scullion claimed his hat-trick with another bullet header from yet another corner.

That was how it ended but Glentoran twice came close late in the goal through Scullion (again!) with a long-range effort and an 87th minute Rory Hamill chance which drifted narrowly over.
