Limavady United 2-1 Larne
Carnegie Premier League - Tuesday, 26th December, 2006
LIMAVADY United recorded their first home win of the campaign with this Boxing Day defeat of basement boys Larne at The Showgrounds.

Martin Cutmore opened the scoring after 35 minutes when he slotted home a spot-kick awarded for a Chris Keenan foul on Stephen Lowry.

Larne, still seeking their first win under new boss Paul Curran, levelled ten minutes after the break through Stephen McCain who met a Darren Munster corner with a looping header which evaded Roesiders keeper Michael Doherty.

However it was Limavady who ended the game on top when, on 67 minutes, Eamon Doherty grabbed what proved to be the winner when he turned the ball home from five yards.
