Armagh City 1-3 Lisburn Distillery
CIS Insurance Cup - Saturday, 25th August, 2007
LISBURN Distillery strengthened their claims for a quarter-final berth in the CIS Insurance Cup with this comfortable defeat of Armagh City at Holm Park.

The closest either side came to finding a way through in a somewhat tepid first half was Colin Magill's 25-yard header which Philip Matthews did well to tip over.

The deadlock was finally broken 52 seconds after the break when Andy Waterworth collected the ball from a throw-in and turned on the edge of the area to dispatch a wonderful effort into the top corner.

The Whites extended their lead on 52 minutes when Gary Browne knocked a penalty past Stuart Addis after he had been brought down by Ian Latimer.

And Dean Youle made it 3-0 three minutes later when he combined with Waterworth to slot the ball beyond Addis.

City did pull one back on 65 minutes when Shane Coney scrambled the ball over the line after a melee in the visiting penalty area.
