Dungannon Swifts 2-0 Armagh City
CIS Insurance Cup - Friday, 25th August, 2006
TWO second half goals from Mark McAllister and David Scullion were enough for Dungannon Swifts to claim full points from this Group D encounter.

McAllister struck first on 53 minutes when he met a JP Gallagher free-kick to nod home into the top left corner.

And it was another Gallagher set piece - this time on 62 minutes - which led to Scullion's goal which the Northern Ireland U21 international managed to slot home at the right post.

The Swifts might have broken the deadlock midway through the first half when Scullion combined with Michael Ward to set up Mark McConkey only for his 25-yard effort to drift just past the upright.

Armagh might have taken a first half lead themselves through a Johnny McSorley free-kick which keeper Dwayne Nelson only pushed out as far as Johnny Cowan but his return effort failed to register.

They came close to reducing the arrears on 78 minutes with a Shea Campbell 18-yard effort while, a little later, Scott Best struck the bar from another McSorley cross.
