Donegal Celtic 3-0 Larne
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 22nd March, 2008
PAUL McVeigh grabbed his first senior hat-trick as Donegal Celtic picked up another vital victory in their bid to avoid being dragged into the dogfight at the bottom of the table.

City might have opened the scoring after just 18 minutes, though, when Conor Forker went close while he also fired over nine minutes from the break.

However McVeigh broke the deadlock on 43 minutes with a decisive finish from a Rory Hamill cross.

He made it 2-0 on the hour from the spot following a Gary Fitzpatrick handball.

And he completed the scoring - and claimed the match ball - with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining - with a sweetly executed 25-yard free-kick awarded for a foul on Ciaran Gargan.
