DESPITE creating a number of chances neither side managed to find a way through in this Carnegie Premier League encounter at The Showgrounds.

United came close in the first half through a 35-yard Garth Scates free-kick which sailed just over while Kevin Kelbie might have done better with a free header not long after.

For the Swifts Niall McGinn dragged a shot wide followed by a Paul Murphy save from a Mark McAllister effort.

After the break the chances continued with McGinn and Rodney McAree creating the pick of Dungannon's chances while Scates and Stephen Lowry offered the most promise for United.
