Armagh City 4-1 Lisburn Distillery
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 24th November, 2007
TWO goals in each half helped Armagh City to superb defeat of high-flying Lisburn Distillery at Holm Park.

They moved in front on 12 minutes through Philip McBirney who headed home from a corner just six yards out.

Armagh doubled their lead on 27 minutes when an Austin McCann corner was nodded over the line by Shane Coney despite visiting protests that the ball hadn't crossed the line.

The Whites were then reduced to ten men on 35 minutes after Darren Armour, only on the field four minutes as a replacement for James Wright, was dismissed when he appeared to swing his arm into Terry Fitzpatrick's face.

McCann extended City's lead further still on 62 minutes with a low drive from a Coney ball.

The shell-shocked visitors pulled a goal back in the 78th minute through Nathan McConnell who drilled a volley past Stuart Addis from ten yards but, in stoppage time, Armagh restored their three-goal advantage when Johnny McSorley set up McCann to knock home his second of the game.
