Glenavon 0-3 Glentoran
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 24th March, 2007
GLENTORAN moved back into second spot in the Carnegie Premier League with this comfortable defeat of play-off haunted Glenavon at Mourneview Park.

Michael Ward opened the scoring for the Glens on 19 minutes when he headed a Gary Hamilton free-kick across goal and past keeper Paul Rice.

And ten minutes later Dean Fitzgerald with a header from a Hamilton right-wing cross.

Michael Halliday then completed the scoring five minutes from time with a close-range back post tap-in after Chris Morgan had floated over an inch perfect cross.

For Glenavon Paul Walsh came close when he fired over the bar from a David Hawthorne ball while David Ward and Gerard McMahon kept Elliott Morris busy with headers early in the second half.
