Lisburn Distillery 2-0 Coleraine
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 23rd September, 2006
SECOND half goals from Conor Hagan and Francis Murphy ensured Lisburn Distillery got their latest Carnegie Premier League campaign off to a winning start.

The opening period, despite being a somewhat scrappy affair, almost produced a goal when Andy Kilmartin collected a Gareth McKeown cross only to lob his resultant effort narrowly over.

And just after the half-hour Coleraine 'keeper Davy O'Hare had to be alert to block an Andrew Waterworth effort with his legs.

The deadlock was eventually broken seven minutes after the restart when Hagan got on the end of a defence splitting ball to send the ball over O'Hare's head.

However Coleraine really should have levelled just three minutes later only for a Darren Cassidy effort to fail to trouble Philip Matthews.

The home 'keeper was in action again later in the half when he turned a David Patton header onto the bar.

The issue was settled, though, ten minutes from time when Murphy combined with John Martin before sending a low shot past the visiting keeper.
