Glenavon 0-3 Limavady United
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 23rd February, 2008
LIMAVADY United remain bottom of the table despite this defeat of Glenavon but the three points have given their survival hopes a huge boost and tightened things up considerably at the basement.

Only four points seperate the bottom six sides from Armagh City in 10th to the Roesiders and Larne, tied on 16.

Both sides had opportunities in the first half to opening the scoring with David Morris perhaps coming closest for Gleanvon with a header from a Gerard McMahon free-kick while Paul Brown was denied by some alert keeping from Paul Cairnduff at the other end.

The deadlock was broken on 56 minutes when Brown got on the end of a Barry Curran square ball after Conor Walsh was caught in possession.

Number two arrived on 72 minutes through Ryan McIlmoyle who rounded Cairnduff while Matthew Boyd added a third five minutes from time when he made the most of a moment of confusion between defenders Gavin McDonnell and Hugh Dickson.
