Coleraine 1-4 Lisburn Distillery
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 22nd September, 2007
LISBURN Distillery sit on top of the Carnegie Premier League tonight after this emphatic defeat of Coleraine at The Showgrounds.

Wayne Buchanan might have opened the scoring on 23 minutes when he headed strongly against the bar from a Ryan McCann free-kick.

Northern Ireland U21 international Andrew Waterworth broke the deadlock on the half-hour with a strong finish after Andy Kilmartin had crossed the ball from the left.

But the Bannsiders levelled ten minutes later after Stephen Carson delivered the ball across the face of goal for Trevor Hutchinson to apply the finishing touch on the line.

The Whites regained the advantage four minutes into the second half courtesy of a Gary Browne penalty awarded for a foul on Waterworth as he burst into the area from the left.

And they extended it on 70 minutes with Browne's second of the game when he finished coolly 8 yards out from a Julian Ward right sided cross.

It got worse for Coleraine eight minutes from time when Waterworth knocked home a fourth with a superb finish after turning a home defender on the edge of the area.
