Armagh City 2-5 Larne
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 22nd March, 2008
LARNE secured three crucial points in the battle at the bottom of the table with this resounding defeat of Armagh City at Holm Park.

They moved in front on 16 minutes through Ryan Black who beat Ciaran Friel to a Noel Anderson cross to head home at the back post.

And it was 2-0 three minutes later when Mark Miskimmon pulled the ball back for Aaron Black to hammer past Stuart Addis.

City pulled one back on 27 minutes after a Johnny McSorley free-kick was headed on by Wilo McDonagh for Conor Forker to knock into the net from 15 yards.

However the visitors restored their two-goal lead on the stroke of half-time with Aaron Black's second of the game from another Miskimmon ball.

Fittingly, it was Miskimmon himself who made it 4-1 on 59 minutes with a header from a Bertie Fulton cross - and six minutes later Fulton added a fifth after being released by Anderson.

McSorley might have reduced the arrears on 71 minutes only to miss a penalty but Austin McCann did add City's second eight minutes with a drive which evaded Spackman.
