Larne 0-4 Glentoran
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 21st October, 2006
GLENTORAN moved five points clear at the top of the Carnegie Premier League following this comfortable defeat of Larne at Inver Park.

And star of the show was Gary Hamilton who banged home his first hat-trick for the Glens inside a stunning 26 minute spell either side of the interval.

He grabbed his first on 35 minutes with a simple conversion at the far post from a Wilo McDonagh overhead kick.

Number two arrived two minutes short of the hour after Jason Hill had played the ball across the face of goal before, on 61 minutes, he killed the game with a scrambled goal from a Sean Ward ball into the area.

However the goal of the game accolade must surely go to Colin Nixon who unleashed a 25-yard drive past Chris Keenan twelve minutes from time to extend Glentoran's already ample advantage.

The beleagured home side finished the game with ten men following Chris O'Hare's 85th minute dismissal for a second bookable offence.
