Ballinamallard United 1-3 Portstewart
Carnegie First Division - Saturday, 21st October, 2006
Portstewart moved into second spot in the Carnegie First Division after a 3-1 away day victory over Ballinamallard United.

Trevor Parkhill was the architect of the win with a goal in either half. His first arrived early on with a stunning 25-yard volley before a less spectacular but equally as effective close range effort in the opening period of the second half all but sealed the game.

It wasn't all one way traffic however. Ballinamallard manage to hit the woodwork on two seperate occasions through Duwayne McManus while at the other end Andy McFarland turned an effort onto an upright as Portstewart looked to extend their lead.

Kyle McCleery pulled one back for the Ferney Park side following good work from Matthew Chambers but a later goal from Ian Todd ensured the points travelled back to the North-West.
