Austin Friel fired the visitors into the lead after just six minutes when he rose to nod the ball past Declan Brown.

However, Rory Hamill levelled for the Hoops four minutes from the break before Paul McVeigh edged them into the lead on 50 minutes when he pounced on a defensive error to beat Dwayne Nelson.

And McVeigh extended their advantage barely two minutes later from the spot after he was brought down by Swifts defender Johnny Montgomery.

He might have helped himself to a hat-trick later in the game when put through only to delay shooting allowing Nelson time to snuff out the challenge.
