Harry Fay's side moved in front after just three minutes when Rodney McAree and Everaldo combined to create an opening for teenage striker Mark McAllister to squeeze the ball past Pats keeper Barry Ryan.

However the visitors levelled on 19 minutes when Alan Kirby took advantage of some poor defending to fire low into the bottom corner.

But within four minutes the Swifts were back in front through Everaldo who lifted the ball over the head of the advancing Ryan after 'keeper Dwayne Nelson had launched the move from his own area.

They managed to hold onto the lead a little longer this time but the Dubliners still managed to equalise for a second time on 49 minutes when a John Frost corner was only cleared as far as Keith Fahey who promptly dispatched a stunning drive past Nelson in off the underside of the bar.
