Donegal Celtic 1-1 Coleraine
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 19th January, 2008
MICHAEL McClean was both the hero and villan for Donegal Celtic as they salvaged a point from his home encounter with Coleraine.

He opened the scoring after nine minutes - but unfortunately he turned the ball past his own 'keeper whilst attempting to clear a Marty Hunter shot from the edge of the area which came back off the crossbar.

Celtic might have levelled just three minutes later only for James Lavery to fire into the side netting while Sean Armstrong - playing against his former club - also tested David O'Hare.

Hunter came close to extending Colerane's lead later in the first half only to fire over from a Kyle McVey cross while at the other end Ciaran Donaghy headed a Liam Bradley just a little too high.

Armstrong then struck the post early in the second half with Ciaran Gargan also going close as Celtic pushed hard for that all-important equaliser.

They were eventually rewarded on 78 minutes when Tony Heagney lifted the ball into the goalmouth for McClean to atone for his earlier error with a composed volley past O'Hare.
