Cork City 0-0 Drogheda United
Setanta Sports Cup - Tuesday, 18th March, 2008
CORK City remain top of Setanta Sports Cup Group Two following this scoreless draw at home to holders Drogheda United.

City were the better side in a lukewarm first half with Dave Mooney perhaps coming closest with a header from a George O'Callaghan cross but he failed to keep his effort on target.

O'Callaghan was also involved as Cork came close again on 35 minutes with a pass across the face of goal for Colin Healy to fire straight at the grateful Mikko Vilmunen.

After the break Paul Keegan tested City 'keeper Michael Devine early on while United defender Graham Gartland almost broke the deadlock midway through the half when he came forward for a corner but saw his header cleared off the line by Darragh Ryan.

At the other end another O'Callaghan cross was met by Liam Kearney but, from just eight yards, he failed to find the target.
