Institute 0-2 Newry City
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 16th February, 2008
TWO FIRST half goals proved enough to secure the points for Gerry Flynn's visitors at Drumahoe.

Michael Collins might have given Newry an early lead when, on three minutes, when volleyed over from a corner.

They did move in front on 33 minutes, though, when Emmett Friars turned the ball past Michael Doherty at the back post after Joe McDonnell had delivered the ball from the right.

And the visitors made it 2-0 on 45 minutes when McDonnell was brought down by 'keeper Alan Ryan as he darted into the area with Richard Clarke duly sending the resultant penalty into the roof of the net.

Chris Morgan came close to adding a third after the break with a glancing header from a Lee Feeney cross while, for 'Stute, Steven Campbell had their best chance on the hour only to fire well over.
