Lisburn Distillery 1-3 Glentoran
JJB Sports Irish Cup - Wednesday, 16th January, 2008
TWO goals from Daryl Fordyce helped the Glens on their way to this fifth round replay victory over Lisburn Distillery at Ballyskeagh.

The Northern Ireland U21 international opened the scoring on 25 minutes after David Scullion and Colin Nixon teamed up down the right for the former to send in a cross which Fordyce turned past Philip Matthews from close range.

He then doubled his tally on 39 minutes with a low shot after Gary Hamilton had knocked the ball into his path.

And the Glens made sure of victory on 61 minutes through a Colin Nixon spot-kick after Stuart Thompson was adjudged to have brought down Scullion just inside the area.

The Whites did earn a consolation five minutes later thanks to a 25-yard Wayne Buchanan drive but it wasn't enough to kick start any sort of revival.
