Coleraine 4-2 Loughgall
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 14th October, 2006
COLERAINE staged an inspired comeback to recover from one goal and one man down to secure their third Carnegie Premier League win in four games.

It looked bleak for the Bannsiders after 25 minutes when referee Raymond Crangle pointed to the spot after 'keeper David O'Hare was adjudged to have brought down Alistair Wilson.

To make matters worse O'Hare was instantly dismissed handing midfielder Darren Boyce the unenviable task of replacing him between the posts - and his first task was to pick Stevie Coulter's penalty out of the net.

However Coleraine levelled on 38 minutes when Stewart Clanachan played the ball down the right for David Patton to fire home from the edge of the box.

But it was still the Villagers who went in at half-time in front after home defender Kyle McVey turned the ball past his own keeper whilst attempting to clear a Glenn Waddell free-kick.

Yet Coleraine came back again in the 61st minute when Stephen Carson guided the ball past Stuart Addis after collecting a Tommy McCallion pass.

And, six minutes after that, the Bannsiders moved into the lead for the first time through Gordon Patton who unleashed a stunning left foot drive from just inside the area.

Then, three minutes from time, McVey made up for his earlier faux pas with number four, another penalty awarded when Ian Wallace brought down McCallion.
