Dungannon Swifts 0-4 Drogheda United
Setanta Sports Cup - Monday, 14th April, 2008
DUNGANNON Swifts fell to a comprehensive defeat at the hands of holders Drogheda United in this Setanta Sports Cup tie at Stangmore Park.

Tony Grant opened the scoring for the Drogs after just four minutes when he collected the ball from Paul Keegan before slipping it past Dwayne Nelson.

The visitors doubled their lead ten minutes from the break through Graham Gartland who tapped a Joe Kendrick free-kick home from close range after Jason Gavin had knocked it on.

It was 3-0 on 66 minutes after Swifts defender Adam McMinn chipped Nelson whilst attempting to clear the ball under pressure from Declan O'Brien.

And O'Brien completed the scoring five minutes from the end with a low shot into the bottom corner following a Richie Baker cross.
