Newry City 3-0 Limavady United
Carnegie Premier League - Friday, 14th March, 2008
LIMAVADY United slipped back to the bottom of the table following this defeat away to Newry City.

Chris Morgan opened the scoring for Gerry Flynn's side on 14 minutes when he collected the ball from Lee Feeney before taking it past defender Martin Ferry and coolly slotting it beyond Glenn Millar from 16 yards.

It was 2-0 on 54 minutes courtesy of a stunning 25-yard Richard Clarke strike which thundered into the top right-hand corner of the Limavady net.

And Morgan added a third two minutes short of the hour when he was quickest to the loose ball after Millar knocked on am Emmett Friars header from a Clarke free-kick onto the bar.

The Roesiders came closest to scoring on 33 minutes when Gareth Tommins fired just wide in what was a rare push forward by the visitors while, after the break, he came close again as did Paul Brown but ultimately they drew a blank.
