The scoring began after just 30 seconds through Celtic midfielder Paul McDonald but on five minutes the Crusaders were back level after Darren Lockhart collected a David Rainey pass to lob 'keeper Declan Brown.

The Crues then moved in front on 32 minutes when Ryan Tumelty made the most of some sloppy defending to drive the ball past Brown from a Lockhart pass but right on the stroke of half-time Celtic equalised courtesy of a David Magowan own goal after a David Munster deflected off him via the woodwork.

However Crusaders restored their lead on 56 minutes after Rainey dispatched a low free-kick past the unsighted Brown.

But again Celtic came back, this time through Sean Armstrong who headed a Liam Bradley corner past Gregg Shannon three minutes later.
