Coleraine 1-2 Glentoran
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 10th March, 2007
GLENTORAN came from behind - and a man down - to close the gap at the top of the table to four points with this defeat of Coleraine at The Showgrounds.

The Bannsiders opened the scoring on 27 minutes when Darren Boyce took the ball past Kyle Neill before sending over a wind-assisted cross which was totally missed by Elliott Morris allowing Paul Gaston to nod home at the far post.

However the Glens levelled moments from the break through leading marksman Gary Hamilton who finished easily from six yards after Jason Hill had retrieved the ball just as it appeared to rolling over the touchline.

Coleraine really should have regained the advantage on 70 minutes. A Neill back pass left Morris in all sorts of trouble with the ball falling for Boyce who duly knocked it goalbound.

Neill, however, raced back to the goal-line and pushed the ball over the bar. Newtownabbey based official Colin Burns had no option but to dismiss Neill and award a penalty only for Damien Whitehead to blast his kick against an upright.

Then, three minutes from time, Dean Fitzgerald secured the points for the visitors when he fired home unmarked from a Philip Simpson cross which the home defence failed to clear.
