The only goal of the game came on 60 minutes when Comrades skipper Ryan Murray unleashed a 25-yard strike into the top corner giving home custodian Paul Hughes no chance.

It was no less than the visitors deserved having created a number of chances throughout with perhaps Joe McRoberts coming closest in the first half with a goalbound header which Hughes did well to keep out.

PSNI had the ball in the net themselves on 32 minutes only for referee Trevor Moutray to rule Brian Russell's effort out offside.

And Russell threatened again after the break but couldn't find a way past Allan Huxley nor the strong visiting defence.
