Glentoran 4-0 Loughgall
CIS Insurance Cup - Saturday, 9th September, 2006
GLENTORAN booked their place in the quarter-finals of the CIS Insurance Cup with this comprehensive defeat of Loughgall at The Oval.

And with Newry City also qualifying as a result the only issue now left is who will occupy pole position and pick up the bonus of a home tie in the last eight.

Kyle Neill opened the scoring for the Glens on 23 minutes with a thundering effort which smashed into the back of the net after first striking the crossbar.

Then, just two minutes later, Michael Halliday doubled the home advantage with a truly superb overhead kick from a Colin Nixon cross.

Number three arrived five minutes after the hour with this time Willo McDonagh getting on the scoresheet with a ball into the bottom corner from around 10 yards before, ten minutes later, Nixon completed the rout with a header after Marc Robinson had pushed out a Darren Lockhart effort.
