LISBURN Distillery took a mighty step towards a quarter-final place with this narrow defeat of Armagh City at Ballyskeagh.

The closest either side came to opening the scoring in an uninspiring first 45 minutes was a Shane Coney effort six minutes from the break which was cleared off the line by Paul Muir.

Then, three minutes after the break, a Julian Ward effort was parried by Stuart Addis before being cleared by defender Mark Turkington.

Muir eventually broke the boredom nine minutes from the end when he rose highest to nod a Gary Browne header past Stuart Addis.
