Larne 2-3 Glentoran
CIS Insurance Cup - Saturday, 8th September, 2007
HOLDERS Glentoran maintained their perfect start to the season but they had to come from two goals down to defeat Larne at Inver Park.

Paul Curran's side opened the scoring after just two minutes through Ross Black who dispatched a 20-yard free-kick past Michael Dougherty after Marty Hunter had been brought down.

And they doubled their advantage on 43 minutes when Marty Verner fired high into the roof of the net.

The Glens pulled one back on 50 minutes through Michael Halliday who was faced with a simple back post tap-in after David Scullion took the ball down the left before cutting it back from the touchline.

Then, with an hour gone, they drew level courtesy of a glancing Kyle Neill header from a Gary Hamilton cross from the left.

The comeback was complete seconds into stoppage time when Scullion, Hamilton and Halliday all combined for the latter to head home unmarked from barely six yards.
