He opened the scoring on 31 minutes at the second attempt after his first effort was blocked by 'keeper Chris Keenan before Oran Kearney tapped on the rebound into his path.

The Blues doubled their advantage six minutes later when Peter Thompson rose to nod a Jim Ervin cross into the right corner of the net.

Stewart then completed the scoring on 74 minutes with a shot in off the post from a Jamie Mulgrew through ball although Keenan did do well to get his fingers to it.
