Glentoran 2-1 Coleraine
Carnegie Premier League - Friday, 7th March, 2008
GLENTORAN kept their title challenge on track with this narrow defeat of Irish Cup semi-finalists Coleraine at The Oval.

They moved in front on 56 minutes through David Scullion who reacted quickest to the loose ball after a Michael Halliday effort came back off the far post.

Coleraine levelled in the 73rd minute, though, when Kyle McVey converted from the spot after Jamie McGovern had upended John Watt.

But the Glens snatched the points six minutes later courtesy of leading marksman Gary Hamilton when he got on the end of an inch perfect McGovern cross from the right flank.
