Newry City 3-1 Limavady United
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 4th November, 2006
NEWRY City picked up their first home win of the campaign with this defeat of Limavady United - but they had to come from behind to do so.

The Roesiders moved in front after 32 minutes when Vincent Sweeney took advantage of some poor defending from Ian Curran as he attempted to clear a Stephen Lowry through ball to fire past the Andy Coleman.

However matters were levelled ten minutes after the interval when Richard Clarke fired home from 20 yards after a Gerry Flynn cross was nodded into his path.

Then, eight minutes from time, City moved into the lead for the first time when Karl Bermingham lifted the ball over three defenders before firing a low drive past Michael Doherty.

And they secured the points in the final minute when Andy Crawford converted from the spot after Bermingham had been upended by the visiting keeper.
