Loughgall 1-3 Glentoran
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 4th November, 2006
THREE goals in as many second half minutes saw Glentoran come from behind to hold onto their lead at the top of the Carnegie Premier League.

Loughgall had led since the 28th minute when Alain Emerson won the ball from Philip Simpson before carrying it forward into the penalty area and despatching it beyond Elliott Morris into the far corner of the net.

It was a lead the Villagers held until well into the second half before succumbing to those trio of goals in quick succession.

The turning point in the game came on 71 minutes, however, when Jimmy Gardiner's side were reduced to ten men when Kevin Henry picked up his second yellow card following an incident with Darren Lockhart.

Glentoran levelled four minutes later when Gary Hamilton burst through on goal only to be brought down by keeper Stuart Addis and from the resultant spot-kick Kyle Neill showed little mercy.

And two minutes later the visitors were in front when Hamilton forced the ball over from a corner conceded when Addis turned away a strong Sean Ward volley.

Then, remarkably, on 77 minutes it was 3-1 when Michael Halliday lobbed home a stunning right-foot effort from all of 20 yards in what was easily the goal of the game.
