Glentoran 4-0 Institute
Carnegie Premier League - Saturday, 3rd November, 2007
GLENTORAN returned to the top of the Carnegie Premier League thanks to this comprehensive defeat of struggling Institute at The Oval.

Gary Hamilton opened the scoring after just three minutes when he fired into the top left-hand corner of the net after a Daryl Fordyce ball over the top of the 'Stute defence reached him on the penalty spot.

Tim McCann made it 2-0 nine minutes into the second half when he was presented with the simple task of lifting the ball past 'keeper Michael Doherty after collecting a Colin Nixon past.

And Colin Nixon added a third just three minutes after that when he forced the ball home after Doherty had initially made a good save in pushing out a Hamilton inswinging corner.

Chris Morgan completed the scoring for the Glens in stoppage time.
