Armagh City 3-2 Larne
CIS Insurance Cup - Saturday, 1st September, 2007
ARMAGH City kept alive their hopes of reaching the knockout phase with this defeat of Larne at Holm Park despite trailing by two goals at one stage.

All the first half action was contained to an explosive final seven minutes.

Andrew Cleary opened the scoring for the visitors on 38 minutes with a well taken effort from the edge of the area before Aaron Black knocked home a penalty a couple of minutes later after new City signing Steven Woods was guilty of handball.

However Gary McKinstry's side halved the deficit on 43 minutes when Shane Coney was fouled by Padraig Gollogley as he bore down on goal with Sean Cleary converting the subsequent spot-kick.

City might have levelled just before the hour only for a Mark Turkington cross to beat both Conor Forker and Stephen Hyndes.

But they did grab the equaliser four minutes from time after substitute Mark Miller laid the ball off for Coney to dispatch into the bottom right hand corner.

And then, two minutes into added time, Liam Cullen grabbed the sensational winner when, unmarked, he was given the space to beat Chris Keenan with a low drive.
